Campus Missioners

The Very Rev. Clayton Harrington

Dean of Diocesan Campus Ministries and The Wright House Chapel at UGA

As Dean of Diocesan Campus Ministries and The Wright House Chapel, Clayton works to bridge the gap between congregation and college, at the University of Georgia and by overseeing the other Episcopal Campus Ministries in the Diocese of Atlanta. In this work, he is passionate about the potential of Christian community, worship, and service to empower young adults to grow into the people that God has made them to be.

Clayton is also an associate rector at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Athens.

  • The Rev. David Boyd

    NWGA Campus Missioner

    Father David Boyd is an Episcopal priest serving as the campus missioner for Northwest Georgia, with a presence at Berry College, Shorter University, and Georgia Highlands College. Father David earned a B.A. in Religion from Centre College in Danville, KY, where he met his wife Sarah on the very first day of orientation. Following college, Father David served in the Episcopal Service Corps in Atlanta before earning his M.Div from the University of the South. In addition to his role as campus missioner, Father David also serves as the Associate Rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Rome, GA. When he’s not on campus or at church, you can find Father David catching a Rome Braves game, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, or getting lost in the woods.

  • Ciara Castenell

    KSU Campus Missioner

    Ciara Castenell came to the Episcopal Church as a young adult during time volunteering with the Episcopal Service Corps. Ciara currently works in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Southern Company and teaches Godly Play at her home parish, the Cathedral of St. Philip. She has served as campus missioner since 2021 and is grateful for the students who give her a new perspective and appreciation for God and God’s presence in the world. She often attends meetings with her husband Andre and their terrier mix, Smuckers. When not at work or at church, Ciara loves spending time outside. She often walks or bikes around town and is a member of a recreational crew team at the Atlanta Rowing Club. Ciara loves meeting new people, and swapping stories over a good meal.

  • Keith Dumke

    Georgia Tech and Georgia State Missioner

    Keith Dumke has been a member of the Episcopal church for more than 20 years. Upon joining the Episcopal church, Keith became actively involved in youth ministry at both the church and diocesan level. Keith shares the campus ministry role at Georgia Tech and Georgia State with Hope Westervelt where they enjoy meeting with students, sharing a meal, and engaging in joyful conversation about our faith and our spiritual journeys. In addition to his role Campus ministry, Keith is the full-time Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta. Keith and his wife Lourdes, a college instructor with Chattahoochee Technical schools, currently reside in Smyrna, GA along with their two dogs, Zoey and Rocco. They also have two adult children. When not working, Keith enjoys hiking, kayaking, gardening/yardwork, and hanging out with good friends.

  • Chelsi Glascoe

    Atlanta University Center Missioner

    Chelsi N. Glascoe is a creative entrepreneur, vibrant scholar and teacher from Silver Spring, MD. She earned a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Clark Atlanta University and matriculated through college serving most notably as Miss Clark Atlanta University 2014-2015. Additionally, she graduated from from Mercer University with a Masters of Divinity degree in 2020. Her favorite things to do include traveling (she has studied cross-culturally in India and several countries in the Caribbean) and swimming. She also serves as the Assistant Executive Director of the Absalom Jones Center.

  • The Very Rev. John Hamilton

    UNG Missioner

    A native of Mississippi, Father John began his career at IBM before being called to the ministry and becoming an ordained Episcopal priest in 2004. In addition to serving as rector at St. John’s Church in Yonkers, NY, for more than 11 years, Father John has served as an interim priest and curate at several other Episcopal churches. He also taught school in Honduras during which time he became fluent in Spanish. He holds a BA in foreign languages from Rhodes College, a BA in Theology from England’s University of Oxford, and a MDiv from General Theological Seminary in NYC. John is also the rector of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church and Dean of the Georgia Mountains convocation.

  • Dena Douglas Hobbs

    ELF Macon Missioner and GCSU Missioner

    Dena Douglas Hobbs has served as the Episcopal campus minister in Macon, Georgia for the past five years. She received her Masters of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary and attends St Francis Episcopal Church. She is the co-author of When Anxiety Strikes: Help and Hope for Managing Your Storm.

  • Taylor Mack

    Columbus State Missioner

    Taylor serves as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries at St. Thomas and the Campus Missioner for ECM @ CSU. She grew up in Columbus, GA and attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church as a teen. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation. As an undergraduate student, she was a leader in the Episcopal Campus Ministry along with several other student organizations. She is currently earning her Master's in Communication from CSU. Taylor is passionate about campus ministry and the role faith can have in young people's lives. Taylor and her husband Jeremy live in Phenix City, AL with their two corgis.

  • Hope Westervelt

    Georgia Tech and Georgia State Missioner

    Hope grew up in Macon, GA and attended Christ Church. She has worked at Camp Mikell in the Diocese of Atlanta and at Camp Grace Point in the Diocese of East Tennessee in addition to her six years as Director of Youth Ministries at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Chattanooga. TN. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, with a major in childhood development, Hope brings a wonderful combination of energy, experience, and organization to her ministry. She is also the Director of Youth Ministries at All Saints’ Atlanta.
